Northern Gems Tour

When is the tour? August 27 to September 2, 2026

What is the price of the tour? €3,900.00 plus applicable taxes.

What is included in the tour?

  • Local Host (English, Portuguese speaking)

  • Pick-up & Drop off in Porto (air conditioned, luxury van) & local transportation

  • All food, drink between pick-up and drop-off, and wine with meals, entry fees and tours

  • Clean and comfortable lodging - we call it rustic luxury (outside of Porto)

What is not included in the tour?

  • Airfare

  • Accommodations in Porto (though we will happily assist you)

  • Food & Entertainment in Porto after drop-off (though we will happily make recommendations)

Will I stay on the farm?

No, however accommodations are typically within walking distance of the homestead.

Will all meals be on the farm?

No. We will have a multiple breakfasts, lunches and dinners on the farm. It is important for us to showcase local cuisine, and also enjoy fun meals like picnics when we are out exploring during the day!

What if I am unable to get a spot on the first tour?

We would truly love to host everyone interested in visiting. Although that is not possible within one tour, Joaquim plans to offer more tours in 2027 and beyond, and you will be among the first to know about them!

Do I need to speak Portuguese?

No. Hosts will also speak English.
